EmPower All Housing Expungement Clinic

Attorney Janet James with Legal Aid in Norfolk has partnered with Empower All and the Hampton office to offer a free first-of-it’s-kind interactive housing workshop in Newport News on Thursday May 22nd, starting at 6PM, at the Brooks Crossing Opportunity & Innovation Center at 550 30th St. in Newport News, VA.

This unique interactive workshop will help tenants improve their own rental history by teaching them how to remove their own eligible evictions from their court records. The process is called civil expungement of an unlawful detainer. Not the criminal kind, but a civil expungement to help people improve their rental history.
