STAFF ATTORNEY POSITION
Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, a non-profit public interest law firm serving the poverty community in civil matters, seeks a staff attorney. A passion for justice and a commitment to poverty law is a must. Salary DOE plus excellent benefit package including Loan Repayment Assistance Program. Must be a member of the Virginia State Bar or eligible to waive in as a Virginia Legal Aid Counsel by having at least two years’ experience in good standing in another state bar. Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia cannot operate without private donations. In an era of cutbacks, Legal Aid has lost significant amounts of federal funding.
