The Importance of the Fair Housing Act

As we celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, it is important to note that while overall segregation in housing has only increased since its passage, the Act if properly enforced by advocates and courts, can be a powerful tool for fairness and justice.  Nowhere is this more evident than in dealing with the rights of disabled tenants as LASEV's Equal Justice Works fellow, Brandon Ballard, writes in this blogpost.
